Research Assistant Position in Experimental Astroparticle Physics:

    The research group in experimental astroparticle physics at Stockholm
   University is involved in two main projects; 
   a) The AMANDA detector for high energy cosmic neutrinos at South Pole 
     searching for neutrinos from dark matter particles, AGN and Gamma Ray 
     Bursts etc. The AMANDA-2 is the largest neutrino telescope existing and 
     is running since February 2000.
     The group is also involved in the new project for a cubic km3 detector,
     ICECUBE, planned to be constructed starting 2002/2003.
   b) the Supernova Cosmology Project in which High-redshift supernovae are 
     used to measure the vacuum and matter energy density of the universe. 
     Future activities in this exciting field include the proposed SNAP satellite.

    The candidate should have completed a Ph.D. in Physics within the last 5
   years. Experiences in experimental astroparticle physics or experimental
   high-energy physics is desired. Knowledge in C++, C and Linux is a merit.

   The appointment will initially be limited to two years with a possible
   extension to four years, or with 20% teaching to 5 years.

   Applicants should send their curriculum vitae, a short description of current
   research and teaching experiences, a list of relevant publications as well as
   one copy of university degrees not later than the 15th of January 2001 to
   Stockholm University, Registrator/PÄ, SE-106 91 Stockholm, Sweden.
   The applicants should also ask three persons to send letters of
