Dear Colleague,

I have advertised a postdoc position to work on the ISM and star formation
processes in nearby galaxies as part of a general job advertisement at the
Max Planck Institute for Astronomy in Heidelberg, Germany (MPIA):

http://members.aas.org/JobReg/JobdetailPage.cfm?JID=22164

This postdoc position will be offered for 2 years initially, with a
possible extension for another 1-2 years. The science goals are related to
studies of the interstellar medium, star formation, and related processes
in nearby galaxies using 'The HI Nearby Galaxy Survey - THINGS' (based at
MPIA), observations from the 'Spitzer Infrared Nearby Galaxy Survey
(SINGS)' and observations obtained at millimeter/submm wavelengths.

I would very much appreciate if you could forward this advertisement to
anyone who might be interested in this position. The application deadline
is January 15th, 2006. Candidates will also be automatically considered
for all extragalactic jobs being offered at MPIA in the coming year (we
plan to offer a total of 5 postdoc positions). Thank you very much.

Best regards,

   Fabian Walter
