Marie Curie Fellowship in Simulations of Jets from Young Stars

This position will be based in the Astronomy & Astrophysics Section of the
Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies (DIAS) for a period of up to 3
years. DIAS is the coordinating node for JETSET (http://www.jetsets.org/)
as well as the largest Irish computational Grid project Cosmogrid
(http://www.cosmogrid.ie/). The present position is focused on
computational modelling of outflows from young stars utilising Grid
technology. The position will be devoted to large scale simulations of
protostellar jets using parallel computing and Grid technology. In
addition, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on
the set up of a grid portal for numerical codes and/or database. Ideally,
the candidate should have expertise in numerical simulations of jets or
plasmas, and/or grid technology. The successful candidate will have access
to large computing resources and expertise within Cosmogrid, as well as
additional computing power from the new Irish Centre for High End
Computing (http://www.ichec.ie/).
