POSITIONS FOR POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHERS, ENGINEERS AND PHD-DOCTORATES(11/01)
The Max-Planck-Institut für Astronomie (MPIA), Heidelberg, Germany,
invites applications for a number of postdoctoral research positions,
engineers and PhD Doctorates.
Adaptive Optics, Multi-Conjugate Adaptive Optics (MCAO), wavefront
sensing, interferometry, diffraction limited imaging an spectroscopy,
are the fields for which MPIA is offering a total of four positions.
In this context, MPIA is searching for postdoctoral researchers,
engineers, and students for PhD Doctorates. Successful candidates will
form a team to simulate, design, implement, install and use an MCAO
instrument on one of the largest telescope in the world The positions
are for two ore three years.
The salary will be based on the German public service pay scale (BAT
IIa) or on the guidelines for scholarships in the Max-Planck-Society. No
limits of nationality or age are imposed. The Max Planck Society is an
