Subject: Postdoctoral position announcement

Hello,

Through a snafu, a postdoctoral position announcment we had hoped to
run in the AAS Job Register was delayed. We would appreciate it if
you would bring this position to the attention of any qualified
candidates you might know.

Also, we are eager for any applicants whose focus is on hardware
aspects of radio astronomy (e.g., antenna design, receiver design, RFI
excision, etc.), even though the position is described largely in
terms of the incumbent's scientific duties.

A brief summary of the position is

The Remote Sensing Division of the Naval Research Laboratory
(NRL) is seeking postdoctoral applications from those with an
interest in radio astronomy. The successful candidate will be
expected to carry out innovative research programs in any area
of astrophysics where existing or planned low-frequency radio
observations (e.g., with VLA, Arecibo, GMRT, GBT) may
contribute. These might include, but are not limited to radio
galaxies and clusters, supernova remnants and pulsars, studies
of propagation effects, or the solar system (e.g., Jupiter or
	the Sun).
