[astro-jc] Postdoc (Geneva Observatory): Extrasolar planet research using the VLTI Pascal J. Bordé

Applications are invited for a  postdoctoral research position in
           EXTRA-SOLAR  PLANET  RESEARCH  USING VLTI
at the  Observatoire de l'Université de Genève, Switzerland.

The candidates should be an EC  or associated country citizen, should have a
PhD in  astrophysics and  must demonstrate the ability to carry out
independent research.

The extra-solar planet research group at the  Observatoire de l'Université
de Genève is lead by Prof Michel Mayor and  includes D. Queloz. S. Udry and
F. Pepe, R. Behrend, F. Pont, D. Segransan and 4 phD students.

Candidate  with a demonstrated background and experiences  in
interferometry, data analysis and extra-solar planet research  will be
preferred.
Stipends will range from   CHF 63000 to CHF 70000. Additional funds are
available for travels to conferences and removal expenses.

The position is available for one year starting on 1rst Mai 2005  and is
renewable up to 3 years.  Applicants should submit a curriculum vitae, a
list of publications, a statement of proposed research program and research
interests  to didier.queloz@obs.unige.ch (pdf format). They should also
