POSTDOC IN EXPERIMENTAL PHYSICS

Applications are invited for one post-doctoral position in gravitational
wave experimental physics in the Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare
INFN (Italy), based in Padova. The successful candidate will carry out
experiments to demonstrate key technologies for employing laser
interferometry with cryogenic acoustic detectors. Applicants with a
strong background in interferometry and/or laser metrology and/or
cryogenics are particularly encouraged to apply. Experience in the field
of precision measurements is an advantage.

Candidates must have a Ph.D in experimental physics.

The position is full-time, fixed term for a period of two years, with
possible extension. The position is funded by the EU under a Integrated
Infrastructure Initiative.

Review of applicants will begin after May 10th 2004 and continue until
the position is filled.
