Dear all,

I would like to draw your attention to several post-doctoral
positions at the Instituto de Astrofisica de Canarias, Tenerife,
Spain.

Please bring these positions to the attention of any interested
candidates you might know. Applicants must be recent PhD's in
Astrophysics/Physics (from 1998 on).

One of the positions is to work with the IAC Herschel/SPIRE group,
under my supervision, on the activities of the Instrument Control Centre
(ICC) of the SPIRE consortium for the  Herschel Space Observatory.
The candidate is also expected to participate in the preparation of the
Herschel surveys and in particular in our SWIRE survey.

The Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias (IAC ) invites
applications for a total of seven Postdoctoral Positions in this first
2003 Call.  The present positions correspond to different categories
and profiles to do research within the framework of the
projects carried out at the centre (see Research Programme
at(http://www.iac.es), as well as to devote time to support tasks.

The present positions are:

2 Postdoctoral Positions exclusively devoted to Research in
Astrophysics
1 Support Astronomer at the Observatorio del Teide (SA OT)
1 Software Support Astronomer (SSA)
1 Position linked to the Herschel/PACS space project
1 Position linked to the Herschel/SPIRE space project
1 Position linked to the Planck/LFI space project

Applicants must be recent PhD's in Astrophysics/Physics (from
1998 on).
