Planck is the third Medium-Sized Mission (M3) of ESA's Horizon 2000
Scientific Programme. It is designed to image the anisotropies of the
Cosmic Background  Radiation Field (CMB) over the whole sky,
with unprecedented sensitivity, angular resolution and
frequency coverage.

Deadline: 06 October 2001

The winner will contribute to the study of theoretical implications
of the PLANCK mission, by improving the computational techniques,
both analytical and numerical, to predict the CMB anisotropy in the
framework of current cosmological models, and by developing methods
of data analysis for the exploitation of PLANCK time ordered data
and maps.

Degree in Physics is requested (or equivalent title).

Experience in one or more of the following fields:

* theory of cosmological perturbations
* theory of the CMB anisotropies
* analysis of CMB anisotropy data
