	Prof. Tom Soifer, director of the SIRTF Science Center on campus, is
looking for staff for the Center. The job will involve data analysis for
the three SIRTF instruments.  He is looking for young PhD's in astronomy
and physics, preferably with about 2 years of post-doctoral experience,
but
this is not a firm requirement.   The candidate should have experience
in
data analysis and some experience with instruments is desirable.   

	The SSC is now setting up the systems and planning the science for
SIRTF
operations.  After launch in about a year, it will control science
operations and as data accumulates, start the detailed science analysis.
The candidate will be working with people who are first rate in terms of
astronomical data analysis and far-infrared science, and with one of the
most exciting science missions in the works. 

	SIRTf <http://sirtf.caltech.edu/> is the last of the Great
Observatories,
and will make contributions to astronomy to match those of IRAS and
Hubble
Space Telescope.  If you know someone who might be interested, please
