POSTDOCTORAL POSITIONS

CAUP accepts applications for post-doctoral positions for one year with
possible extension up to three years. These are expected to start as
soon as possible. The deadline for applications is the 31st of October
2000.
CAUP is a young Research Institute with a staff of 18 researchers,
several Ph.D. students and two Master Programes (involving more than 40
students). Current research projects are in the fields of
* Stellar Astrophysics
Activity and Variability of Young Stellar Objects,
Insterstellar Medium and Circumstellar Material,
Modelling of Stellar Winds, Stellar Seismology
* Cosmology
Clusters of Galaxies, Galactic Evolution,
Cosmic Microwave Background Radiation,
Simulations of Structure Formation
The Institute is located at the University Campus of Campo Alegre,
sharing a new building with the town Planetarium. CAUP has an extensive
set of collaborations with international partners on research and

brief description of past experience and of research interests, a
proposal for future research projects at CAUP as well as the
