Candidates are sought to develop theoretical models of the distributions
of
Minor Ions in the Solar Wind Plasma.  The appointment can start
immediately;
it will last 24 months and may be extended one more year. The selected
applicant will have or be close to finalize a Ph.D. or equivalent degree
in
physics, mathematic or engineering.  Assertive skill in numerical
analysis
and applied mathematics is needed; some experience with PC would be
welcome.
Strong interest for theoretical plasma physics or astrophysics is
required.
The candidate should be prepared to take private lessons in order to
become
quickly fluent in English. 
The following will comprise a complete application : (1) A statement
from
the applicant regarding his interest in the position should be written
in
French, Dutch or English; (2) a Curriculum Vitae; (3) a list of
publications
if any; (4) address, phone, and fax numbers of the candidate, and of 2
scientists familiar with the work of the applicant; (5) a transcript of
graduate school grades; (6) an abstract of the Ph.D. thesis if
available.
